Studio Bolivar · Interior Design

A home begins with a person.

I design interiors through close observation, honest conversation, and a love of making. Understanding how you live, and what you’re drawn to, helps me imagine spaces and pieces that feel like yours.

The things you’ve kept, the colors that excite you, the ways you spend your days. These are places to begin.

Inside The Gilded Bower

From an idea to something you live with.

Sometimes the piece I imagine is one we need to make. For this bedroom, I designed the bed and bedside tables for the room, working through drawings and revisions with the people who would bring them to life.

Seeing those pieces arrive is a particular kind of joy: something that began as an idea becomes part of someone’s everyday life.

An eye for objects

There should be room for a little absurdity.

An oversized glass fried egg can make me very happy. I love objects with a sense of humor, strange forms, unexpected ideas, things that make me look twice.

Living with them keeps me curious. I move them around, try them beside something new, and discover another reason to enjoy them.

What would you like to make room for?

Tell me about the way you live, the things you love, and what you imagine for your home. I’d love to hear what you have in mind.
